A bit about the creation of Imagine:
My “roots” have always been firmly placed within nature. Succulents are one of my favorite plants to paint because of their symbolism to being so hardy and forgiving, as well as the bright colors and unique shapes.
This painting is of one of my own succulents that I took many photographs of while it was blooming! I loved the way the buds hung down, as if they were out of a Dr. Seuss book. I named this painting “Imagine”, as a reminder to create, imagine, and dream. This painting will provide such a feeling of inspiration in a study!
13 x 3 ¾ x ¼ inches on walnut wood block
“Imagine” is painted on walnut wood that was repurposed from being “scrap wood”. The wood has a beautiful, beveled edge around the perimeter and a keyhole in the back for easy hanging.
